Top 5 Popular Posts This Week, May '07 13-18th.

I'm taking a cue from ProBlogger's newsletter, which highlighted their most popular posts from the past week. So here's mine, enjoy!

  1. NBC Pulls Television Drama 'Black Donnellys', No Word on Studio 60

I reported in this post that NBC had pulled Paul Haggis' mid-season replacement drama The Black Donnellys from its schedule. Donnellys had been put into motion to replace Aaron Sorkin's highly anticipated but lesser watched Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Neither show was renewed this week during NBC's upfront presentation, but Studio 60 has a moderate chance of appearing on DVD as it did have one full season produced.

This post has an active comment thread, so join in if you are/were a fan of Donnellys.

  2. New Series on TV: NBC

My first ever attempt to cover the network upfront presentations. These are basically a cross between a corporate briefing and the Academy Awards. Lots of stupid skits and too much singing, plus what new shows the networks will be debuting this coming fall. This post was dedicated to NBC, so if you're interested in what new shows they'll have come fall, check this out!

  3. New Series on TV: ABC

Same thing as above, but this one was for ABC. I did a series of this, one for each of the big four networks. I wasn't able to get to The CW, due mostly to back pain that has been bothering me for the past two weeks without relent. It's still bothering me now, but each of those posts were taking over two hours to write, so I opted out of the netlet this year.

  4. Jack is Back; Jericho Blown Up?

Announcing the sad news that the CBS drama Jericho has indeed been cancelled. I loved this show and still haven't seen the second half of the season (it's sitting on my DVR) and I can't wait to see the rest, even if it's now officially dead. CBS put this show in an extend hiatus that caused a severe drop in the ratings, and they admitted that's why it was cancelled. They still won't take responsibility for putting it on hiatus like that for no good reason.

CBS killed this one out of pure stupidity, one of the top shows to come out of the last round in my opinion, right up there with NBC's Heroes.

  5. Top 5 Shows That Won't Be Around in 2 Years

Inspired from the ProBlogger contest, these are the top 5 shows I don't think will be around in 2 years. Lost is there, but what other shows won't make the most of their second chance?
