Russ Crowe goes it alone

Russell Crowe
One of the biggest primadonnas in the industry has gone into business for himself, eliminating another person in between himself and the studio chief who can tell him no on any given film. I'm talking about Russell Crowe of course, who thinks he's God's gift to acting and thought the script for The Gladiator was total shit, and it was only his own brilliance that made it palpable.

Not content with simply pushing people around, Crowe has discovered a better way to deal with the problem of people getting in his way: remove them.
Russell Crowe has formed Fear of God Films and set up his first feature project as a producer. Using his own coin, Crowe optioned "Dolce's Inferno," a spec script by Mark Staufer. Crowe will develop the project as producer, and does not plan to star in the film.

He's a fine actor, and maybe being on the other side of the camera will teach him a few lessons about what it's like to deal with asshole actors who have no regard for anyone or anything but themselves.
