Lane Garrison is Going to Prison
Tuesday, May 22, 2007 - reddit
Garrison played "tweener" in the first and part of the second season of FOX's Prison Break. His character was killed off, along with a couple of others, but it looks like his acting career is pretty much over.
There is a local news anchor for my NBC affliate that made the same stupid choices that Garrison made, and the result wasn't any different.
They both chose to drink alchohol, get in their cars, and drive around. Both of them crashed their cars, and both of them killed an innocent.
I don't know what the fate of my news anchor will be, but I hope he gets a decently long prison sentence, because there's absolutely no excuse for what these two guys have done. This isn't an accident, this is willfully placing other lives in danger in a way that resulted in a death. You can't give people a pass for that.
Garrison, for his actions, was man enough to take responsibility and pled gulity to the charges against him. He'll probably only spend 6-8 years in prison, which is far less than he deserves. I bet he never thought he'd end up in prison for real after playing an escaped convict on TV.

- Paula Abdul fall down, go boom.
- The Screen Actors Guild is really unhappy with people who go "financial core", which means you are still a member, but refuse to pay dues because you disagree with what the Guild is doing. Or something like that. It's perfectly legal to do, but SAG is trying its damnest to punish people for it anyway.
- Bryan Singer's doing a WWII flick next, staring Kenneth Branagh and Tom Cruise. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
- House executive-producer Daniel Sackheim is leaving the show to do other things for NBC (their development studio, not the network.)
- Doing films about dead conservationists must be in vouge this year.
- Kevin Smith is shooting a TV pilot called Reapers for The CW.
- New extended Potter 5 clip.
