Blade Runner Reshoots?

For some bizarre reason, they felt it was necessary to reshoot a number of scenes from the Sci-Fi classic for a new DVD release. Sometimes I think the only reason they invented DVD's was so they could release they get away with cheaply release the same movie a half dozen times, including as little material other than the movie the first time around, always adding just a couple more minutes of interviews and features for each subsequent release.

This isn't confirmed and even if it was, why? You know, just...why?

"Joanna has just finished reshooting her scenes from the original Blade Runner," the site reported. "Joanna is wearing her original outfit (which she kept over from the first production). These new scenes will be part of the upcoming special Blade Runner DVD re-release. Check back for more details."

I'm surprised they haven't tried to remake it yet. Maybe they'll do that after they've released the special platinum anniversary boxed collectors millennium edition DVD made out of gold.

With all the news rumors going around lately about the future of the Spider-Man franchise, Yahoo! is getting in on the act. Will there be a 4th, 5th, and even 6th installment? Will Raimi do any of them? Confirmed. Denied. SOMEONE MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

FirstShowing.net has all the details on the movies opening this weekend.

And I'm out for the debates, have a great evening.
