"Babylon 5: The Lost Tales" available for pre-order

A press release from the guys who are putting out the Babylon 5 script books sent out a notice yesterday that bounced to the wrong e-mail account, so I'm a day late on this. J. Michael Straczynski (JMS) has been working on a set of straight-to-DVD films set in the Babylon 5 universe, the first of which is now available for pre-ordering.

The release date is set for July 31st and will be available on Amazon.com for a tick under $17. The DVD set was originally to include three mostly independent stories set in the B5 universe in ways that would include all the original series cast members still alive. Sadly, we've lost two of the main cast in Richard Biggs and (Stephen Franklin) and Andreas Katsulas (G'Kar) since the series came to an end.

If this DVD is successful, there are plans for subsequent "tales" to come in the future, and I have ever reason to believe that will be the case. The Lost Tales should look pretty sweet with modern-day CGI. Man, I can't wait to get this.
