Neal Stephenson's Diamond Age Coming to Sci Fi
Monday, January 15, 2007 - reddit
George Clooney and Grant Heslov are bringing the best-selling novel to the Sci Fi channel as a six-hour miniseries. According to Newswire, Stephenson himself will be adapting his book into a script for the project.
When a prominent member of society concludes that the futuristic civilization in which he lives is stifling creativity, he commissions an interactive book for his daughter that serves as a guide through a surreal alternate world. In other science fiction related news, Stargate Atlantis star David Hewlett has written a pilot called Starcrossed, a behind the scenes comedy for a space drama. It's listed as in development, which means it's in-between nowhere and nothing for the time being. Other random bits of SF&F shows in development over here.
