It's done. The writer/producers for reality series America's Next Top Model have gone on strike to protest the networks refusal to allow them WGA representation. I just wrote about this on Friday, and now the storm begins.
We are the overwhelming majority of those in the story department on 'America's Next Top Model' who want to be represented by the WGA West," said the scribes in a statement issued Friday in conjunction with their walkout. "While we are all very committed to this show, and we are proud of the work we do, we are taking a stand to get basic benefits and protections.
The CW, ANTM's network gave a non-response, saying they expected the issue to be resolved before the new season debuts two months from now. Both SAG and AFTRA have issued statements of support for the writers attempt to unionize.
